This explains what personal information Hygieia & Co. collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are

What we collect, and why
We only collect what you type into our forms:
- Pre-orders for collection: your name, email, phone, collection time and your order.
- Allergies and dietary notes on pre-orders: anything you tell us about allergies or dietary needs, so we can prepare your food safely.
- Celebration, grazing table and private hire enquiries: your name, contact details, event date and details.
- Table, gift voucher and event requests: your name, contact details and what you'd like.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
We use it to reply to you, take your order or booking, and provide what you've asked for. If you join our newsletter, we'll email you news and offers, and every email has a link to unsubscribe.
Health information
Some of our forms ask about allergies and dietary needs. This is health information, which the law treats as extra sensitive. We only collect it so we can look after you safely, we only use it for that, and we only collect it when you choose to give it to us. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Our legal reasons
We use your information because you've asked us to do something for you (to take your order, booking or enquiry), because you've given your consent (newsletter, and any health information you share), or because we have to by law (for example, keeping records for tax).
Who else sees it
We never sell your information. A few trusted companies handle it for us, only to run our business: Netlify (website hosting and form submissions), Microsoft 365 (our email). They're only allowed to use it to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted after 12 months. Order and booking records are kept as long as the law requires for our accounts (usually six years). Health information is deleted when it's no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
Cookies
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Just email info@hygieiaandco.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
